On November 20th, 2024 Positive Technologies introduced their NGFW, designed to protect businesses against cyber attacks. The company says that over the past two years there has been an increase in attacks in Russia. In the first three quarters alone of 2023, the number was equal to the total number for 2019.
During the product presentation, positive technologies experts summarized the transformation of the cyber landscape since 2022. They noted an increase in the number of active attack groups and the use of legitimately licensed software to conduct attacks. In addition, they discovered an increase of vulnerabilities in russian software in 2014. Of these, 20 percent were at a critical level.
PT NGFW includes security modules such as IPS system, streaming antivirus, URL filtering and threat data enrichment, which allows you to provide protection without loss of performance. During internal tests, the product showed a speed of 380 Gbps, which confirms its high performance.
The creators claim that PT NGFW is designed as a world-class solution capable of effectively countering modern threats. PT NGFW was created with current cyber threats in mind and is designed to be a key element of protecting businesses in the face of an increasing number of attacks and critical vulnerabilities. The solution is already undergoing pilot deployments in Russian companies and is available for shipment.
