Cloud.ru is the leader in cloud technologies and AI in Russia. The company develops custom solutions, provides support, and helps businesses of all sizes, from retail and communications to heavy industry and banking.Every year, they host a large "GoCloud" event. This year I worked with Eventum Premo to organize it, responsible for artistic direction and creativity. My duties included everything from designing decorations and installations, to setting up the navigation system at the CDPin Moscow.I also prepared designs and materials for production.
The final versions that we worked on with the production team, including the production designers, were released
The first area for which we had to prepare unique installations was the digital birch area. Throughout the exhibition, we wanted to convey the theme of nature, which can be seen in each installation. We also decided that the installations would not just be decorations - they would perform a function and solve a problem.
For the birches, our task was to present the products offered by Cloud.ru. To do this, we created a unique format that integrated plasma panels into the installations, where consultants could give presentations. These are the final designs of the installations that I previewed.
This is what the previs looks like, made to real size and placed in the locations where they will actually be. This is needed to understand if the installation will work well in that space.
See how it looked already in the realized form, in the photos from the event.
I've done a lot of work on this installation. Not only did I create the visual concept but I also developed all engineering systems, calculated dimensions and prepared instructions for production, which made it possible to avoid errors in production and save the time of experts, and therefore the budget
A unique pattern was developed for all surfaces. It was manually drawn and turned into a pixelated pattern of birch bark. This material was prepared by me, and submitted to the production team to avoid mistakes.
This is what the first sketches looked like at the early stages. I created them in order to coordinate the direction with the client, quickly discard some ideas, and work out other ideas in more detail.
Thanks for watching!
